With step-by-step guidance and personalised support from our expert tutors, you'll gain confidence as you bring your tortoise design to life. To make your project yours, you will choose from a selection of base fabric colours and different colour threads on the day.

Techniques & Breakdown

This engaging taster class offers the perfect introduction to the art of Goldwork embroidery, teaching you the essential techniques used to bring your tortoise design to life. Our expert tutors will guide you through the fundamentals of traditional metal thread embroidery, demonstrating how to apply pearl purl, create smooth satin stitch foundations, and mixing cutwork and chipping to add beautiful texture and definition to your piece. Each technique will be demonstrated live by our experienced embroidery specialists, who will provide personalised guidance and support throughout the session.
